Where does Google come from?

The cornerstone of any solid SEO marketing program has to centre around Google.  Search engine optimisation or SEO for short is a process whereby your website is raised up to the first pages of a search engine.  This means that customers will see you before anyone else and statistically it is proven that people rarely look beyond the first two to three pages. For more information on that look to SEO Consultant Ireland based experts Ryco Marketing.  Google remains the most popular search engine but where does it actually originate from?

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin.  They both attended Stanford University and were studying for PhDs.  As part of their studies they wanted to create a search engine that was more efficient.  It would be based on looking at the relationships between websites and their backlinks.  They choose Google for its relation to the mathematical figure which indicates a huge amount of information.

In 1998 they were officially incorporated and began life in a friend’s garage in California.  It was funded by a $100,000  donation from Sun microsystems.  Because Google used a system that was based on the quality of the incoming links it proved to be a highly effective way of providing pages for information.  This system is what is used by SEO to be able to raise your profile on Google’s search engine..

It seemed to be a hit with people searching for websites and its efficiency soon made it the number one choice.
