There are times when a child with challenging behaviours may need to be restrained for their own safety and it is imperative that anyone working with these children receive the proper training so that neither the child nor the adult is harmed. If performed properly Team Teach helps the child or young adult who is experiencing a behavioural episode feel safe and helps them calm down.  Sometimes they will need to be placed in a safe, calm environment to allow them to calm down in their own time.

These safe spaces are usually like a blown-up sealed tent and can have sensory lights and soft music playing inside.  The child can safely be left alone inside or be accompanied by a trusted adult.  With all the sides, top and bottom being soft and flexible the anxious child can’t cause any injuries to themselves when inside.
