Places to Keep Particularly Clean in the Office

As we all head back to the office, for many it is a relief to return to a more normal life after being cooped up for so long – after all a zoom meeting can’t replace the office banter, and coffee at home doesn’t feel as good as the one we grab from the coffee shop on the way to work in the morning.

But getting back to work does come with the risk of infection, so it is important that workplaces do all they can to reduce the risk. Keeping the office clean is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of any germs. Hiring a professional like this contract cleaning Cheltenham based company Big Green Cleaning is a great idea, but there are some parts of the office that all staff should also lend a helping hand to clean as they are particularly likely to be able to harbour germs.

These are the places that should be cleaned frequently, and at least every day…

Door Handles – Touched by everyone, these are the number one place to make sure they are kept clean. A rota next to each door could help to divide it between staff.

Keyboards – Known to be particularly good at providing germs and bacteria at home, pay a lot of attention to cleaning keyboards, especially if the office operates a hot desk system or people tend to share equipment.

Photocopier – This is a well-used piece of equipment and a staple in most offices, so be sure to clean it after each use, and keep a bottle of hand sanitiser next to the machine for each user.
